Story Transcript:

Lv: Rīgas svaiguma elpa pārņēma visu Centrāltirgu.
En: The breath of Riga's freshness filled the entire Central Market.

Lv: Liene, pilsētas meitene ar zilām acīm un gariem matiem, soļoja starp tirgus plauktiem, kur smarža pēc jaunajiem kartupeļiem un pirmajiem ziediem lika viņai smaidīt.
En: Liene, a city girl with blue eyes and long hair, walked among the market stalls, where the scent of fresh potatoes and the first flowers made her smile.

Lv: "Aivars!
En: "Aivars!

Lv: Skaties, cik lielas un zaļas salātu lapas!
En: Look at how big and green these lettuce leaves are!"

Lv: " Liene pacēla gaisā lielu, zaļu galvu, uzskatot to par salātiem, tomēr tas bija nekas cits kā liels kāposts.
En: Liene held up a large, green head, mistaking it for lettuce, but it was nothing other than a large cabbage.

Lv: Aivars nespēja noturēt smieklu brāzmu.
En: Aivars couldn't hold back a burst of laughter.

Lv: Viņš bija vietējais zemnieks, kurš audzēja labākos dārzeņus, tādēļ ļoti labi atpazina savu kāpostu vidū salātu lapām.
En: He was a local farmer who grew the best vegetables, so he recognized his cabbage amidst the lettuce leaves very well.

Lv: "Ai, Liene, tas ir kāposts, ne salāti!
En: "Oh, Liene, that's cabbage, not lettuce!"

Lv: " viņš teica, aizmugurē jau pulcējās zaļumu cienītāju pūlis, kuriem Liene un viņas kāposts sagādāja gaišas emocijas.
En: he said, as a crowd of greenery enthusiasts had already gathered behind them, for whom Liene and her cabbage brought bright emotions.

Lv: Liene sārtēja, bet tad smējās līdzi.
En: Liene blushed, but then laughed along.

Lv: "Nu, vismaz mēs zinām, ka man vajadzētu iemācīties atšķirt dārzeņus pirms salātu pagatavošanas.
En: "Well, at least now we know that I should learn to distinguish vegetables before making salads."

Lv: "Aivars piedāvāja viņai īstu salātu galvu, un kopā viņi smīnēja, sasaistot kāpostu ar pavasara pastaigām un nejaušajām lietām, kas padara dienas krāsainākas.
En: Aivars offered her a real head of lettuce, and together they laughed, connecting the cabbage with spring walks and accidental things that make days more colorful.

Lv: Dienas beigās Liene pārnestajā grozā bija pareizie salāti, un Aivars bija ieguvis jaunu draudzeni ar jauku smaidu.
En: At the end of the day, Liene had the right lettuce in her transferred basket, and Aivars gained a new friend with a nice smile.

Lv: Viņi abiem patika doma, ka kļūdas var izraisīt jaunus draudzības tiltus.
En: They both liked the idea that mistakes can create new bridges of friendship.

Lv: Un tirgus aizmirsa par Liene, kāpostsalātiem, bet zināja, ka šeit vienmēr var sastapt draudzību, smieklus un pārsteigumu, kas rada mājīgu un laipnu atmosfēru.
En: And the market forgot about Liene, cabbage and lettuce, but knew that here one could always find friendship, laughter and surprise, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
