Story Transcript:

Cs: Slunce pomalu stoupá nad Prahu.
En: The sun slowly rises over Prague.

Cs: Na Karlově mostě začíná nový den.
En: A new day begins on the Charles Bridge.

Cs: Jakub, Aneta a Petr tam stojí a rozhlížejí se kolem.
En: Jakub, Aneta, and Petr stand there, looking around.

Cs: Mají důležitý úkol – připravují se na prezentaci o historii Karlova mostu.
En: They have an important task – they are preparing for a presentation on the history of the Charles Bridge.

Cs: Jakub má na sobě červenou bundu a pečlivě si studuje noty.
En: Jakub is wearing a red jacket and is carefully studying his notes.

Cs: „Karlův most je významný památník,“ říká. „Začal se stavět v roce 1357.“
En: "The Charles Bridge is a significant monument," he says. "Construction began in 1357."

Cs: Aneta se usmívá. Přidává se k Jakubovi a říká: „Most postavil Karel IV. Byl to důležitý most pro obchod.“
En: Aneta smiles. She joins Jakub and says, "The bridge was built by Charles IV. It was an important bridge for trade."

Cs: Petr se opírá o zábradlí a palcem ukazuje směrem k vodě. „Podívejte, tamhle pod mostem plují lodě. A víte, že most má 16 oblouků?“
En: Petr leans against the railing and points his thumb toward the water. "Look, there are boats sailing under the bridge. And did you know the bridge has 16 arches?"

Cs: Jakub, Aneta a Petr pokračují v přípravách. Kolem nich prochází turisté, fotí si most a užívají si výhled na Pražský hrad.
En: Jakub, Aneta, and Petr continue their preparations. Tourists walk by, taking pictures of the bridge and enjoying the view of Prague Castle.

Cs: „Jo, a nezapomeňte na sochy,“ připomíná Aneta. „Nejznámější je socha Jana Nepomuckého. Říká se, že když ji pohladíte, budete mít štěstí.“
En: "Oh, and don't forget about the statues," Aneta reminds them. "The most famous one is the statue of John of Nepomuk. They say if you touch it, you'll have good luck."

Cs: Jakub kývá hlavou. „Dobrý nápad. A měli bychom zmínit, že most přežil mnoho povodní a válek.“
En: Jakub nods. "Good idea. And we should mention the bridge has survived many floods and wars."

Cs: Celý den usilovně pracují. Učí se nové informace a vymýšlí, jak je prezentovat zajímavě.
En: They work diligently all day. They learn new information and think about how to present it interestingly.

Cs: Jakub čte z knihy, Aneta kreslí obrázky do prezentace a Petr dělá poznámky.
En: Jakub reads from a book, Aneta draws pictures for the presentation, and Petr takes notes.

Cs: „Myslím, že jsme připraveni,“ říká Jakub nakonec. „Máme spoustu informací a dobrý plán.“
En: "I think we're ready," Jakub says in the end. "We have plenty of information and a good plan."

Cs: Aneta si ho pochvalně poklepává po rameně. „Dobrá práce, tým.“
En: Aneta pats him on the shoulder encouragingly. "Good job, team."

Cs: Petr zvedá palec. „Jděme na to!“
En: Petr gives a thumbs-up. "Let's do it!"

Cs: Druhý den stojí Jakub, Aneta a Petr před třídou. Jakub začíná: „Karlův most je jedním z nejstarších mostů v Evropě. Postavil ho Karel IV...“
En: The next day, Jakub, Aneta, and Petr stand in front of the class. Jakub begins: "The Charles Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Europe. It was built by Charles IV..."

Cs: Prezentace jde skvěle. Třída poslouchá a obdivuje jejich práci. Učitel je chválí za dobrou přípravu.
En: The presentation goes great. The class listens and admires their work. The teacher praises them for their good preparation.

Cs: Po prezentaci se tři přátelé smějí a objímají. „Zvládli jsme to!“ říká Aneta nadšeně.
En: After the presentation, the three friends laugh and hug. "We did it!" Aneta says excitedly.

Cs: „Urá, Karlův most!“ volá Petr a ukazuje vítězoslavně.
En: "Hooray for the Charles Bridge!" Petr shouts triumphantly.

Cs: Jakub, Aneta a Petr se cítí hrdí. Výlet na Karlův most nebyl jen o historii, ale i o přátelství a spolupráci.
En: Jakub, Aneta, and Petr feel proud. The trip to the Charles Bridge was not just about history but also about friendship and cooperation.

Cs: A to je ta největší lekce ze všech.
En: And that is the greatest lesson of all.

Cs: Karlův most zůstává stát, stejně pevně jako jejich přátelství.
En: The Charles Bridge stands tall, just like their friendship.
