Cs: V místnosti pro návštěvy seděl Jakub, naproti své sestře Lence.
En: In the visiting room, Jakub sat across from his sister, Lenka.
En: Next to them was a small table lamp, perhaps an attempt to offer comfort, but Lenka barely smiled.
Cs: „Jakube,“ řekla Lenka s povzdechem, „tady to nezvládnu.

En: His voice was calm, but pain showed in his eyes.
Cs: „Já nepotřebuji tohle dobro,“ odpověděla.
En: "I don’t need this kind of good," she replied.
Cs: „Chci žít svůj život.
En: "I want to live my life."
En: Jakub listened, feeling a cloud of tension hovering above them, but he didn't want their conversation to turn into a fight.

En: I know I can do it."
Cs: “Jakub ztuhl.
En: Jakub froze.
Cs: Strach jej sevřel.
En: Fear gripped him.
Cs: „Lenko,“ začal znovu, hledajíc slova, která by ji přesvědčila.
En: "Lenka," he began again, searching for words that might persuade her.
Cs: „Doktoři říkají, že potřebuješ ještě čas.
En: "The doctors say you still need time.
Cs: Nechci tě vidět znova trpět.
En: I don’t want to see you suffer again."
Cs: “„A co moje přání?
En: "And what about my wishes?"
Cs: “ odpověděla Lenka, v jejím hlase byla hořkost.
En: Lenka responded, bitterness in her voice.
En: "No one asks what I want."
En: The conversation continued like a nervous dance between two high boundaries that Lenka longed to leap over.
En: Jakub felt his hopes shattering against the hard wall of her resolve.
Cs: Přesto věděl, že musí najít cestu.

En: You can always come to me."
Cs: “Lenka se zastavila.
En: Lenka paused.
Cs: Návrh zněl snově a najednou se jí zdál jako začátek něčeho, co by mohlo fungovat.
En: The proposal sounded dreamy and suddenly it seemed like the beginning of something that could work.
Cs: Podívala se do bratrových očí a spatřila tam upřímný zájem.
En: She looked into her brother’s eyes and saw genuine concern there.
Cs: „Myslíš, že to zvládnu?
En: "Do you think I can manage it?"
Cs: “ zeptala se tiše.
En: she asked quietly.
Cs: Jakub přikývl.
En: Jakub nodded.
Cs: „Věřím v tebe.
En: "I believe in you.
Cs: Jen mi dovol, abych ti trochu pomohl.
En: Just let me help a little."
En: There was silence, but it was a silence that gave them space to breathe.
Cs: Jakubovi spadl kámen ze srdce, když Lenka přikývla.
En: Jakub felt a weight lift off his shoulders when Lenka nodded.
En: And so they both embarked on a new, shared path.
Cs: Byla to cesta s nadějí.
En: It was a path of hope.
Cs: Cesta, kde Lenka mohla nalézt sílu, a Jakub se naučil důvěřovat.
En: A path where Lenka could find strength, and Jakub could learn to trust.

En: Klára, his longtime friend, stood nearby, watching him with a supportive yet skeptical smile.
Everything will turn out fine," she reassured him while glancing at her watch.
Cs: Jirka, majitel galerie, přidal se k nim s plány výstavy v ruce.
En: Jirka, the gallery owner, joined them with the exhibition plans in hand.
En: He glanced over his shoulder at Václav and sighed, "We don't have time for mistakes. Everything must be perfect."
En: He felt his heart start to race.
Cs: „Jirko,“ začal pomalu, „jedno z mých hlavních děl chybí.“
En: "Jirka," he began slowly, "one of my main pieces is missing."
Cs: Okamžitě bylo cítit napětí.
En: The tension was immediately palpable.

En: Klára quickly joined the conversation.
Cs: „Václave, co chceš dělat? Máme jen pár hodin.“
En: "Václav, what do you want to do? We only have a few hours."
Cs: Musel se rozhodnout rychle, měl de facto dvě možnosti: buď to oznámí veřejně a riskuje zpoždění otevření, nebo se pokusí najít dílo sám.
En: He had to make a quick decision; he essentially had two options: either announce it publicly and risk delaying the opening or try to find the piece himself.
Cs: Věděl, že bez podpory přátel nemůže uspět.
En: He knew he couldn’t succeed without the support of his friends.
Cs: „Kláro, pomůžeš mi?“ zeptal se naléhavě.
En: "Klára, will you help me?" he asked urgently.
Cs: Klára přikývla. „Samozřejmě, jdeme do toho.“
En: Klára nodded. "Of course, let's do this."
En: Thanks to an anonymous tip, Václav found himself back in Old Town Square, a swirl of uncertainty in his mind.
En: He was supposed to confront Jirka, but he had no idea what to expect.
En: "What if it was just a mistake?" he pondered.
Cs: „Nebo je za tím něco víc?“
En: "Or is there something more to it?"
Cs: Nakonec se vrátili do galerie, kde Jirka mezitím stressně listoval v papírech.
En: Eventually, they returned to the gallery, where Jirka was stressfully flipping through papers.
En: Václav was ready to ask him seemingly nonsensical questions, but Jirka suddenly uttered a sentence that surprised everyone: "We found it!"
Cs: „Kde?“ zeptal se Václav skoro nevěřícně.
En: "Where?" Václav asked, almost incredulously.
Cs: „Byl omylem uložen v zadním skladu,“ vysvětlil Jirka, úlevou se mu uvolněně usmívaly oči.
En: "It was mistakenly stored in the back room," Jirka explained, his eyes relaxing with relief.
Cs: „Pár chybějících kousků zaměnili naši asistenti.“
En: "Some missing pieces were mixed up by our assistants."
Cs: Václav cítil, jak mu z ramen spadl obrovský kámen.
En: Václav felt a massive weight lift off his shoulders.
En: He took a deep breath and looked at Klára.
Cs: „Děkuji, bez tebe bych tohle nezvládl.“
En: "Thank you, I couldn't have done this without you."
Cs: Klára se usmála. „Když jde o přátele, vždycky jsem tady.“
En: Klára smiled. "When it comes to friends, I'm always here."
Cs: Konečně se galerie naplnila návštěvníky a Václavovy obrazy zářily pod reflektory.
En: Finally, the gallery was filled with visitors, and Václav's paintings shone under the spotlights.
Cs: Jeho hlavní dílo přitahovalo zvláštní pozornost.
En: His main piece attracted particular attention.
En: The opening was a huge success, and Václav realized how important it is to trust others and ask for help when it's needed.
Cs: Jirkův úsměv a nadšené reakce návštěvníků dokazovaly, že místní umělecká scéna bude o Václavovi ještě dlouho mluvit.
