Lv: Kādreiz pavisam netālu no skaistās Daugavas teka, Rīgā bija viens mazs tirgus.
En: Once upon a time, very close to the beautiful Daugava river in Riga, there was a small market.

Lv: Tur ik dienu rosījās cilvēki, tirgojās un smējās.
En: Every day, people busied themselves there, trading and laughing.

Lv: Tirgus bija slavens ar saviem svaigiem augļiem un dārzeņiem, bet arī ar negaidītiem piedzīvojumiem.
En: The market was famous for its fresh fruits and vegetables, but also for unexpected adventures.

Lv: Mūsu stāsta varone ir Anna, kura strādāja nelielā ziedu veikalā blakus tirgum.
En: Our story's heroine is Anna, who worked in a small flower shop next to the market.

Lv: Annas labākā draudzene bija Līga, kura tirgoja mājās gatavotu ievārījumu, un puisis vārdā Māris, kurš pa dienām tirgoja sieru un pa vakariem spēlēja ģitāru tirgus laukumā.
