Story Transcript:
Cy: Roedd hi'n noson oer a serennog ym mhentref Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
En: It was a cold starry night in the village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
Cy: Roedd yr eglwys leol yn llawn cynhesrwydd a chwerthin oherwydd roedd côr yr eglwys yn ymarfer ar gyfer y cyngerdd Nadolig.
En: The local church was full of warmth and laughter because the church choir was practicing for the Christmas concert.
Cy: Roedd Rhys, Elin a Gwen yn rhan o'r côr ac roedd pawb yn edrych ymlaen at ganu carolau.
En: Rhys, Elin, and Gwen were part of the choir and everyone was looking forward to singing carols.
Cy: Un noson, wrth baratoi ar gyfer un o'r ymarferion hyn, penderfynodd Rhys gymryd llwybr byr trwy'r cwrdd i nôl cerddoriaeth oedd wedi'i gadael yn anffodus yn y canol.
En: One night, while preparing for one of these practices, Rhys decided to take a short cut through the yard to retrieve some music that had unfortunately been left behind in the middle.
Cy: Wrth gerdded yn ofalus, sylweddolodd Rhys fod y llawr yn y cwrdd yn gwichian yn uchel iawn, ond roedd mor brysur yn meddwl am y tonau a'r harmonïau hyfryd doedd o ddim yn talu sylw i'r perygl.
En: As he walked carefully, Rhys noticed that the floor in the yard was creaking very loudly, but he was so busy thinking about the tunes and the lovely harmonies that he didn't pay attention to the danger.
Cy: Pan gyrhaeddodd Rhys y pentwr o daflenni cerddoriaeth, roedd yn chwilfrydig iawn i weld sut roedd yr olygfa o'r cwrdd.
En: When Rhys reached the pile of music sheets, he was very curious to see how the scene of the yard was.
Cy: Felly, sefyllodd ar un o'r cadeiriau pren i edrych drosodd - ac yn sydyn, clywodd sŵn "craic"!
En: So, he stood on one of the wooden chairs to look over - and suddenly, he heard a "crack" sound!
Cy: Cyn iddo sylweddoli beth oedd yn digwydd, roedd ei ben wedi ei gaethiwo yn dynn yng nghangen uchel yr organ!
En: Before he could realize what was happening, his head was tightly trapped in the high branch of the organ!
Cy: Gwen a Elin oedd y cyntaf i glywed sŵn Rhys yn galw am help.
En: Gwen and Elin were the first to hear Rhys calling for help.
Cy: Wedi eu dychryn gan y sŵn rhyfedd, rhedodd pawb o'r eglwys i weld beth oedd y sŵn.
En: Startled by the strange sound, everyone from the church ran to see what the sound was.
Cy: Pan welodd Gwen Rhys, phe burstio allan chwerthin.
En: When Gwen saw Rhys, she burst out laughing.
Cy: Ymdrechodd Elin gadw wyneb difrifol, ond yn fuan roedd pob aelod o'r côr yn chwerthin yn uchel.
En: Elin tried to keep a serious face, but soon every member of the choir was laughing loudly.
Cy: Elin, sy'n fwy ymarferol na Gwen, aeth i chwilio am rhywbeth i helpu tynnu Rhys yn rhydd.
En: Elin, who is more practical than Gwen, went to look for something to help free Rhys.
Cy: Daeth yn ôl gyda ysgol ac olew i wneud y pren yn llithrig a thocio cangen bach o'r organ.
En: She came back with a stool and oil to make the wood slippery and managed to move a small branch of the organ.
Cy: Ar ôl rhywfaint o dynnu a llusgo, gyda help y côr yn gyfan, llwyddwyd i gael Rhys yn rhydd.
En: After some pulling and dragging, with the help of the entire choir, they managed to free Rhys.
Cy: Er ei embaras, roedd Rhys yn diolchgar iawn i Elin am ei help.
En: Despite his embarrassment, Rhys was very grateful to Elin for her help.
Cy: 'Diolch,' meddai Rhys, ychydig yn goch yn ei wyneb.
En: "Thank you," Rhys said, a little red in the face.
Cy: 'Dim problem,' atebodd Elin, yn gwenu'n gynnes.
En: "No problem," Elin replied, smiling warmly.
Cy: 'Dyna beth yw ffrindiau.
En: "That's what friends are for."
Cy: 'Gwen, sydd â digrifwch bach, awgrymodd y dylai'r côr ychwanegu'r cân 'Pen stuck in the loft' i'r cyngerdd Nadolig fel cof am y digwyddiad doniol.
En: Gwen, with a little mischief, suggested that the choir should add the song 'Pen stuck in the loft' to the Christmas concert as a memory of the funny incident.
Cy: Er gwaethaf yr embaras, roedd y gweddill yn cytuno meddwl bod y syniad yn ddigrif.
En: Despite the embarrassment, the rest agreed that the idea was funny.
Cy: Wrth iddyn nhw baratoi ar gyfer y cyngerdd, cawsant lawer o hwyl yn trafod ac yn chwerthin am y "damwain" gyda Rhys.
En: As they prepared for the concert, they had a lot of fun discussing and laughing about the "accident" with Rhys.
Cy: Ac ar noson y cyngerdd, perfformiodd y côr yn well nag erioed, gyda Rhys yn rhannu stori'r noson honno yn y cwrdd â'r gynulleidfa, gan roi pawb mewn hwyliau Nadoligaidd.
En: And on the night of the concert, the choir performed better than ever, with Rhys sharing the story of that night in the yard with the audience, putting everyone in a festive Christmas mood.
Cy: Fel y sêr yn yr awyr yn disgleirio llachar ar nos Nadolig, y cymuned yn Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch yn cofleidio anffodus Rhys gyda chwerthin a mwynhad, gan ei hatgoffa fod Nadolig yn amser am ddathlu, rhannu a chydweithio - a weithiau, am gael eich pen mewn llefydd rhyfedd.
En: As the stars shone brightly in the Christmas night sky, the community in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch celebrated unfortunate Rhys with laughter and enjoyment, reminding him that Christmas is a time for celebration, sharing, and collaboration - and sometimes, for getting your head in strange places.
