En: As the candle flames nearby cast a bright glow over the table, Carys was lost in thoughts.
Cy: "Beth ddylwn i brynu?" roedd hi'n gofyn dro ar ôl tro i Osian.
En: "What should I buy?" she kept asking Osian repeatedly.
Cy: Roedd hi'n gaeaf, a'r gwynt oer yn chwythu heb gymwynas y tu allan.
En: It was winter, and the cold wind was blowing mercilessly outside.
Cy: Y diwrnod o Sant Dwynwen oedd yn agosáu, ac roedd Carys am ddod o hyd i'r anrheg berffaith i'w phartner.
En: Sant Dwynwen's Day was approaching, and Carys wanted to find the perfect gift for her partner.
Cy: Roedd hi ychydig yn ddi-benderfynol, a'r digonedd o leiniau o barlys calon a rhuban coch yn y siopau yn ei drysu bellach.
En: She was a little indecisive, and the abundance of heart-shaped sweets and red ribbons in the shops was confusing her further.
Cy: "Pam nad ydy di'n dewis planhigyn?" awgrymodd Osian, ymarferol bob amser gyda'i gyngor.
En: "Why don't you choose a plant?" suggested Osian, always practical with his advice.
Cy: "Car wrth naturiannol, a lliwio tŷ hefyd."
En: "Naturally charming, and it brightens up a house too."
Cy: Ond roedd Carys yn poeni am ystyron dwysach...
En: But Carys was worried about deeper meanings...

En: Something more personal than a plant.

Cy: Roedd ganddi yrfa hir o ddeall anghenion gwirioneddol cwsmeriaid.
En: She had a long career of understanding the real needs of customers.
Cy: Wrth ddod â the poeth at eu bwrdd, ymgnawdolodd Eira yn dawel.
En: Bringing hot tea to their table, Eira quietly joined the conversation.
Cy: "Os di'n chwilio am rywbeth arbennig," cychwynnodd Eira, "cofia'r weithred syml ddwedest di yn gynharach—mae caru yn cael ei ail ddweud mewn coffi bore."
En: "If you're looking for something special," began Eira, "remember the simple act you mentioned earlier—love is expressed again in a morning coffee."
Cy: Edrychodd Eira i lygaid Carys yn ystyfnig a gwên lawenedd.
En: Eira looked into Carys' eyes with determination and a joyful smile.
Cy: Cofiodd Carys yn sydyn ei chariad am dano.
En: Carys suddenly remembered her love.
Cy: Roedd ei phartner yn wastad yn falch o geginyda gyda phrifysgol froc o goffi.
En: Her partner was always proud of their morning ritual with a rich mug of coffee.
Cy: Sut nad gallasai Carys weld hyn flaenorol?
En: How had Carys not seen this before?
Cy: "Dylem fynd am cyfuniad unigol o te a mwg tymerus," fe awgrymodd Carys yn rhyddhad.
En: "We should go for a unique combination of tea and a smoky mug," Carys suggested in relief.
Cy: Yn wir, heb ail ystyr, dewisodd Carys brynu cwpanaid newydd gwych a photel o de bara brith arbennig.
En: Indeed, without a second thought, Carys chose to buy a splendid new mug and a bottle of special bara brith tea.
Cy: Roedd yn berffaith a bythgofiadwy—yn union fel oedd Carys wedi dychmygu.
En: It was perfect and unforgettable—exactly as Carys had imagined.
Cy: Wrth iddyn nhw adael y tŷ te a cherdded ar draws strydoedd Caerdydd, roedd Carys yn gwenu.
En: As they left the tea house and walked across the streets of Caerdydd, Carys was smiling.
Cy: Diolch i Eira a'i chynghorion crefftus. Dysgodd Carys fod dweud ei gwirionedd a gofyn am help yn beth gwerthfawr.
En: Thanks to Eira and her skillful advice, Carys learned that speaking her truth and asking for help is a valuable thing.
Cy: Doedd dim mwy o ofn a pheidio â thrystio ei theimladau.
En: There was no more fear and no longer a need to distrust her feelings.
Cy: A gyda hynny, roedd ei thosturi a meddwlgarwch yn dod a llawenydd i waith ei bywyd ac i galon ei chariad ar Dydd Sant Dwynwen, sef cofleidio'r cariad gyda chwpanaid twymyn a chalon llawn llawenydd.

Find the full episode transcript, vocabulary words, and more:

Story Transcript:
Cy: O dan len y sêr, safodd Castell Dinas Brân yn grand ac yn unig, gorffwys ar ben y bryn fel gwarchodwr cyfrinachau’r oesau.
En: Under the blanket of stars, Castell Dinas Brân stood grand and lonely, resting atop the hill like a guardian of secrets from ages past.
Cy: Edrychai’r castell, â’i gerrig llychlyd, dros ddyffryn Llangollen, tra oedd clwydir yr eira'n araf yn cryfhau.
En: The castle, with its weathered stones, looked out over the Dyffryn Llangollen, while the snowdrift slowly grew stronger.
Cy: Roedd y gwynt yn hŵylio drwy’r muriau’n chwythu'n oer ac yn llym, fel ryw hen wrach yn canu hen ganeuon niwl.
En: The wind whistled through the walls, blowing cold and sharp, like some old witch singing ancient fog songs.
Cy: Roedd Gwilym ar fin dringo'r allt, ei lygaid yn cael eu tanio gan straeon bore oes ei dad-cu, straeon am oleuadau hud a hanesion y tylwyth teg o'r amseroedd a fu.
En: Gwilym was about to climb the slope, his eyes ignited by the early morning stories of his grandfather, tales of magical lights and folklore of the fairies from times gone by.
Cy: Yn ei gwmni roedd Carys, gwynep amheus gyda'i camerâu, barod i ddal delweddau syfrdanol tra'n chwalu'r chwedlau o flaen ei lens.
En: Accompanying him was Carys, a skeptical face with her cameras, ready to capture stunning images while shattering the myths before her lens.
Cy: "Paid â disgwyl rhywbeth arall heblaw gwynt a rhwyll," pwysleisiodd Carys, ei geiriau yn llithro allan mewn niwl bach o anadl yn y rhew.
En: "Don't expect anything other than wind and mist," Carys emphasized, her words slipping out in a small fog of breath in the frost.
Cy: "Mae pob lle fel hyn yn cael rhyw chwedl."
En: "Every place like this has some kind of legend."
Cy: “Wel," atebodd Gwilym gyda gwybedyn o gyffro, "bydd yn werth gweld beth bynnag a gawn ni. Mae'r glowyn yn dyfolaeth."
En: "Well," replied Gwilym with a buzz of excitement, "it'll be worth seeing whatever we find. The glow is in the future."
Cy: Roedd yr eira'n rhewi, yn crensian dan eu traed wrth iddynt ddringo.
En: The snow was freezing, crunching under their feet as they climbed.
Cy: Roedd yr haul wedi hen ddiflannu, a dim ond eu fflachlampau’n goleuo’r ffordd drwy’r adfeilion, wrth chwilio am unrhyw arwydd o oleuni dirgel.
En: The sun had long disappeared, and only their flashlights illuminated the path through the ruins, as they searched for any sign of mysterious light.
Cy: Wrth i'r noson blygu tuag at hanner nos, fe ddigwyddodd rhywbeth.
En: As the night bent towards midnight, something happened.
Cy: O ganol y muriau wywo, ymddangosodd golau meddal, balch ac anhraethadwy.
En: From the midst of the worn walls, a soft, proud, and indescribable light appeared.
Cy: Gwilym a Carys, â’i holl benlinioc yng nghyferbyniad eu credoau, stopiodd mewn syndod.
En: Gwilym and Carys, with their entire contrasting beliefs, stopped in amazement.
Cy: “Ai dyma yw e?” chwipiodd Carys yn agored, ei lygaid yn crwydro rhwng oleuni'r fflachlamp a'r golau gorchuddiedig.
En: "Is this it?" Carys snapped openly, her eyes wandering between the flashlight's beam and the veiled light.
Cy: Roedd Gwilym yn llawn gyfaredd, bron yn anadlu.
En: Gwilym was full of enchantment, almost breathless.
Cy: "Edrych!" wnaeth e wthio ymlaen, cyffro'n suddo’n ddwfn yn ei lais.
En: "Look!" he urged, excitement sinking deep into his voice.
Cy: Roedd y golau yn cydgynhesu yng nghanol y cae, fel petai'n creu ffurf dynol yn codi a dirgrynu; anwyldeb oedd yn denu ac yn dyrus ar yr un pryd.
En: The light gathered warmth in the middle of the field, as if forming a human shape that rose and shimmered; an allure that was both inviting and unsettling.
Cy: Yn dawel, cerddodd y ffigwr golau o'u blaenau, fel petai’n arwain y ffordd.
En: Silently, the light figure walked ahead of them, as if leading the way.
Cy: Gwnaeth y ddau ddilyn, eu gwyntoedd wedi'u dwysáu gan atgasedd yr oerfel drosodd arnynt.
En: They both followed, their breaths intensified by the resentment of the cold overtaking them.
Cy: Yn ddiefelyg, daethant at ran coll o’r adfeilion, yn guddiedig o olau’r dydd ac yn guddiedig o olwg dynol.
En: Unerringly, they came upon a hidden part of the ruins, concealed from the light of day and from human sight.
Cy: Dyma lle roedden nhw’n dod o hyd i'r siambr ddofn â'i drigfanau anghyfarwydd.
En: It was here they found the deep chamber with its unfamiliar dwellings.
Cy: Dewisodd Carys, ei amlwgdeb yn canu mewn symudiadau hudolus o’r camera, ddal delweddau difyr o'r hen greiriau a'r cerrig sy'n storïo'r gorffennol.
En: Carys, her prominence singing in the magical movements of the camera, chose to capture fascinating images of the ancient relics and stones that storied the past.
Cy: “Does dim myth gyda’r datguddiadau yma,” mudodd Carys, ei llygaid yn llawn hedflas anghrediniaeth.
En: "There’s no myth with these revelations," murmured Carys, her eyes full of incredulous wonder.
Cy: Yn y dawdd gwelw'r golau, teimlai Gwilym nerth o ganiad o ddychmyg.
En: In the pale glow of the light, Gwilym felt a power of imaginative cadence.
Cy: Wedi hynny, cerddodd y ddau i lawr, eu profiad yn uno’r straeon a'r gwirionedd.
En: Afterward, the two walked down, their experience uniting the stories and the truth.
Cy: Roedd yr hyder o fewn Gwilym wedi'i gerust, ond ymdeimlad o werth gwrando ar y chwedlau yn parhau.
En: The confidence within Gwilym was reassured, but a sense of the value of listening to the legends persisted.
Cy: Erbyn i Carys sylwi ar ffurf newydd o barch tuag at hanes, fe ddileuodd amheuaeth ynddi.
En: By the time Carys noticed a new form of respect towards history, doubt within her had been erased.
Cy: Ger y môr o ddyffryn Llangollen, yng nghanol adfeilion yr oesau, roedd un porth arall wedi agor – porth i antur ac ymffrost.
En: Near the sea of Dyffryn Llangollen, amidst the ruins of the ages, another gate had opened—a gateway to adventure and pride.
Cy: Wrth i nhw bwyllog ddynesu at ben y dyffryn unwaith eto, roedd hi’n glir iddynt i'r golau goch a welwyd yn nyfnderoedd Castell Dinas Brân ddim ond erchwyn y stori.
En: As they cautiously approached the edge of the valley once again, it was clear to them that the red light seen in the depths of Castell Dinas Brân was only the fringe of the story.

Cy: Rhew oer oddi wrth y gwynt, a thirwedd brydferth Cymru wedi’i orchuddio gyda blanced wen o eira — felly oedd y golygfa yn Eryri.
En: Cold frost from the wind and the beautiful landscape of Cymru covered with a white blanket of snow — this was the scene in Eryri.
Cy: Roedd Rhys a Carys wedi bod yn cynllunio eu taith am wythnosau.
En: Rhys and Carys had been planning their trip for weeks.
Cy: Roedd Rhys yn awyddus i brofi ei fod yn gallu copïo gyda amodau’r gaeaf.
En: Rhys was eager to prove he could cope with the winter conditions.
Cy: “Cawn ni fynd ymlaen, Carys!
En: “Shall we go on, Carys?"
Cy: " meddai Rhys wrth iddynt sefyll ar ddatws garw y llwybr.
En: said Rhys, as they stood on the rough terrain of the path.
Cy: Defnyddiodd Rhys ei ysfa adfeilgar i wthio ei farch henaf yn eich blaen, er bod y gwynt yn dalach.
En: Rhys used his stubborn determination to push his old steed forward, even though the wind was strong.
Cy: "Dylwn ni fynd yn ôl," dywedodd Carys yn galed, gan ddechrau poeni am Rhys.
En: “We should go back," said Carys firmly, starting to worry about Rhys.
Cy: Roedd y gwynt yn cryfhau ac roedd y tywydd yn troi'n gwaeth.
En: The wind was strengthening and the weather was turning worse.
Cy: "O, 'dw i'n iawn!
En: “Oh, I'm fine!"
Cy: " Rhoddodd Rhys gwên fawr iddi, ond roedd hi’n fwy o geisiad na geiriau.
En: Rhys gave her a big smile, but it was more an attempt than words.
Cy: Wrth i'r chwibanet grynu, gwynt y mynyddoedd top y llwybrau gyda'r ffordd.
En: As the whistle howled, the mountain winds swept the top of the paths along the way.
Cy: Fodd bynnag, roedd Rhys yn barod.
En: However, Rhys was ready.
Cy: Ar ôl oriau o gerdded ar hyd y llwybr, dechreuodd Rhys fynd yn araf.
En: After hours of walking along the trail, Rhys began to slow down.
Cy: "Rydw i'n teimlo’n oer," gweithiodd i'w gyfaddef, annhebygol i’w arfer.
En: "I'm feeling cold," he reluctantly admitted, uncharacteristically.
Cy: Roedd Carys yn sylweddoli bod rhywbeth yn anghywir.
En: Carys realized something was wrong.
Cy: Roedd pob syllu yn dangos pryder wrth ei weld y dirwasgiad ar wyneb Rhys.
En: Every glance showed concern as she saw the strain on Rhys's face.
Cy: "Mae’n rhaid i ni gael lloches," meddai Carys, yn awyddus i ddal Rhys cyn iddo syrthio.
En: "We need to find shelter," said Carys, eager to catch Rhys before he fell.
Cy: Ceisiodd Rhys i fwrw ymlaen, ond cyn i’t cysgodion mae ei lygaid yn dechrau cael ei chael.
En: Rhys tried to press on, but before he could, shadows began clouding his eyes.
Cy: Goruwchledodd Carys a chymrodd ei braich.
En: Carys overtook and took his arm.
Cy: "Dewch," meddai.
En: "Come on," she said.
Cy: Roedd y goleuni'n pylu, ond roedd Carys’n cofio sgyrsiau'r mapiau a'r si lamp ar bedwar y morglodd y caban bach cyfforddus o fewn cyrraedd yr awr.
En: The light was fading, but Carys remembered the map discussions and the lamp she had spotted at four at the comfortable little cabin within reach of the hour.
Cy: Gyda phob cam, roedd yr oerfel yn treiddio i asgwrn Rhys.
En: With every step, the cold pierced into Rhys's bones.

Cy: Ymysg cuddfannau eira uchelderau Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri, daeth y bore ioriau.
En: Amongst the snow-covered hideaways of Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri's highlands, the morning arrived with a gentle glow.
Cy: Roedd y byd yn wyn fel llen hudolus, â'r mynyddoedd anferthol yn sefyll ar lanau cudd wrth i eira drwm ddisgyn yn ddi-baid.
En: The world was white like a magical veil, with the enormous mountains standing quietly as the heavy snow fell incessantly.
Cy: Mae Gwilym, Seren a Dafydd yn sefyll wrth droed y llwybr, y tri yn benderfynol o gyrraedd copa'r mynydd hardd er gwaethaf y rhew sy'n cyniwair drwyddynt.
En: Gwilym, Seren, and Dafydd stood at the foot of the path, all three determined to reach the beautiful mountain summit despite the frost that swept through them.
Cy: "Os gallwn ni gyrraedd y copa, bydd y golygfa'n anhygoel," meddai Seren, ei llygaid yn sgleinio â brwdfrydedd.
En: "If we can reach the summit, the view will be incredible," said Seren, her eyes shining with enthusiasm.
Cy: Seren yw'r person mwyaf beiddgar yn y grŵp, bob amser yn arwain yn benderfynol.
En: Seren is the boldest person in the group, always leading with determination.
Cy: Ond roedd Gwilym yn fwy synfyfyriol heddiw, ei law yn dal y cylch yn ofalus yn ei boced, gan obeithio'r foment berffaith i ofyn Seren i fod yn wraig iddo.
En: But Gwilym was more contemplative today, his hand carefully holding the ring in his pocket, hoping for the perfect moment to ask Seren to be his wife.
Cy: Yn sydyn, mae awel gref yn chwythu'r eira o amgylch ac mae'r storm yn troi'n fwy dwys o flaen eu llygaid.
En: Suddenly, a strong breeze swept the snow around them, and the storm turned more intense before their eyes.
Cy: Gwylfa mor brydferth, bellach yn fygythiad o berygl.
En: Such a beautiful sight now became a threat of danger.
Cy: "Dylem ddod o hyd i rywle i roi ymwared," mae Dafydd yn argymell, ei lais yn llawn pryder, yn cofio cyfrinach Gwilym.
En: "We should find somewhere to take shelter," Dafydd suggested, his voice filled with concern, remembering Gwilym's secret.
Cy: Nid yw am roi unrhyw un mewn perygl.
En: He does not want to put anyone in danger.
Cy: Er ei fod eisiau parhau, mae Gwilym yn gwybod bod rhaid glynu at ddoethineb.
En: Despite wanting to continue, Gwilym knows they must heed wisdom.
Cy: "Ie," meddai, "rhaid i ni sicrhau ein bod yn ddiogel gyntaf.
En: "Yes," he said, "we must ensure we are safe first.
Cy: Gallwn ddod yn ôl eto pan fydd y tywydd yn fwynach.
En: We can return again when the weather is milder."
Cy: "Maent yn symud i lawr i'r cysgodol lle bychan oedd Dafydd yn cofio o daith blaenorol.
En: They moved down to the sheltered spot that Dafydd remembered from a past journey.
Cy: Mae'r storm, fel cynddaredd y gwynt ei hun, yn mynnu sylw llawn gan y grŵp, ond o ranol hanner awr, maent yn dod o hyd i'r adwy cysgodol ac yn ddigon ffodus i ddod o hyd i loches fach wedi'i gorchuddio â haen drwchus o eira.
En: The storm, like the fury of the wind itself, demanded the group's full attention, but after about half an hour, they found the sheltered pass and were fortunate enough to find a small haven covered with a thick layer of snow.
Cy: Yng nghysgod yr adwy, gyda synhwyrau eto'n arafu ar ôl yr ymdaith ddwys, mae Gwilym yn teimlo calon gwresog wrth ei ochr.
En: In the shelter of the pass, with their senses slowly calming after the intense trek, Gwilym felt a warm heart beside him.
Cy: Mae'n tynnu'r cylch allan o'i boced, ei galon yn curo'n gyflym.
En: He pulled the ring out of his pocket, his heart racing.
Cy: "Seren," meddai'n dawel, ei lais yn ddigynnwrf ond yn llawn teimlad.
En: "Seren," he said quietly, his voice calm but full of emotion.
Cy: "Fe alla i ddim aros am amgylchiadau perffaith.
En: "I can't wait for perfect circumstances.
Cy: Y byd golwg perffaith yw'r foment hon gyda ti.
En: The perfect world view is this moment with you."
Cy: "Mae Seren yn treiddio'n wyrthiol iddi, y cynnwrf yn gorlifo ei thafod.
En: Seren was overwhelmed, the excitement flooding her voice.

En: He needed to prove to himself and others that he had the skills to climb in any weather.
Cy: Ar y llaw arall, roedd Carys yn poeni.

Cy: Roedd y dywydd yn symud am y gwaeth ac roedd hi'n gwybod bod rhaid iddi gadw Emyr yn ddiogel.
En: The weather was turning for the worse, and she knew she had to keep Emyr safe.
Cy: "Emyr, mae'n rhaid i ni feddwl am ein diogelwch," meddai Carys, gan edrych i'r gorwel ble roedd y cymylau'n dewach.
En: "Emyr, we have to think about our safety," said Carys, looking towards the horizon where thicker clouds loomed.
Cy: Ond roedd y hawl yn llosgi'n ôl ym myg Emyr.
En: But the urge to conquer burned inside Emyr.
Cy: "Dim ond ychydig yn fwy," atebodd Emyr, wrth i'r eira ddechrau cwympo'n fwy dwys.

En: The seriousness of their situation became clear to him.
Cy: "Rhaid i ni wneud penderfyniad," dywedodd Emyr yn y diwedd.
En: "We need to make a decision," Emyr finally said.
Cy: Roedd yn well ganddo beidio â thrin y llun na mentro eu bywydau yn y gwynt anhrugarog hwn.
En: He preferred not capturing the photo over risking their lives in this relentless wind.
Cy: Roedd Carys yn ysgwyd ei phen yn cadarnhaol.
En: Carys nodded positively.
Cy: "Mae'n well aros.
En: "It's better to wait.
Cy: Mae lloches fan hynny," dywedodd, yn dangos golygfa ohonynt mewn unrhyw ffoadfa gyffyrddus.
En: There’s a shelter over there," she said, pointing to a scene of refuge.

Cy: Roedd Carys wedi dysgu ei bod yn gallu dylanwadu ar Emyr mewn ffordd sydd i'r hollol dda.
En: Carys learned that she could influence Emyr in a wholly positive way.
Cy: Tra nad oedd eu tasg wedi'i chwblhau'n union fel y dymunai Emyr ar y dechrau, roedd y daith wedi datgelu rôl person oedolyn mewn dealltwriaeth, gofal a chyfeillgarwch.
En: While their task hadn't been completed exactly as Emyr initially desired, the journey had revealed the role of an adult in understanding, care, and friendship.
Cy: Roeddent wedi sicrhau eu diogelwch, ac mewn hynny, cipiodd wychder tirwedd gaeafol nad oedd unrhyw gystadleuaeth yn fwy gwerthfawr.
