From Otautau to the Kansas City Chiefs and two SuperBowl rings. It's not a well-worn path but that's the journey former Southland athletics star Atipa Mabonga has been on over the last few years.

Over the weekend she received her second ring at a glittering ceremony following the Chiefs dramatic overtime win in one of world sport's biggest occasions.
