Listeners, we’re so excited to introduce you to Ellen Vaughn—a wife, mom, grandmother, speaker and New York Times bestselling author who’s written or co-written 23 books. She joins us today for a conversation about the intersection of her story with the writing of her biography Becoming Elisabeth Elliot.
In 1956 Elisabeth Elliot was a young missionary in Ecuador when members of a violent tribe savagely speared her husband Jim and his four colleagues. Incredibly, prayerfully, Elisabeth took her toddler daughter, snakebite kit, Bible and journal and lived in the jungle with the people who killed her husband. Compelled by her friendship and forgiveness, many came to faith in Jesus. Ellen’s book introduces a new generation to the life and faith of this amazing woman.
