Story Transcript:

Sr: U malom selu podno planine, postojala je stara kafana "Kod tri šešira".
En: In a small village at the foot of a mountain, there was an old tavern called "At the Three Hats."

Sr: Dragan, vlasnik kafane, bio je poznat po dobrom raspoloženju i još boljoj hrani.
En: Dragan, the owner of the tavern, was known for his good mood and even better food.

Sr: Jednog sunčanog popodneva, kafanu je posetio Jovan, seljakom koji je ceo dan proveo radeći na polju.
En: One sunny afternoon, Jovan, a peasant who had spent the whole day working in the fields, visited the tavern.

Sr: Bio je gladan kao vuk.
En: He was as hungry as a wolf.

Sr: Ulazeći u kafanu, Jovan je pozdravio prisutne i seo za svoj omiljeni sto u ćošku.
En: Entering the tavern, Jovan greeted the people present and sat at his favorite table in the corner.

Sr: Ubrzo je prišla Milica, konobarica sa najlepšim osmehom na svetu.
En: Soon, Milica, the waitress with the most beautiful smile in the world, approached him.

Sr: "Šta ćeš, Jovane?
En: "What would you like, Jovan?"

Sr: " upitala je Milica.
En: Milica asked.

Sr: "Donesi mi veliku platu mesa, umoran sam i gladan!
En: "Bring me a large plate of meat, I'm tired and hungry!"

Sr: " odvratio je Jovan.
En: Jovan replied.

Sr: Milica se nasmiješila i otišla do kuhinje.
En: Milica smiled and went to the kitchen.

Sr: Međutim, kafana je tog dana bila puna gostiju, a Dragan je bio zauzet pričama i šalama s ostalim seljacima.
En: However, the tavern was full of guests that day, and Dragan was busy chatting and joking with the other peasants.

Sr: Vreme je prolazilo, a Jovan je postajao sve nestrpljiviji.
En: Time passed, and Jovan became increasingly impatient.

Sr: Kada je Milica napokon donela tanjir, na njemu se nasmešila sasvim mala porcija mesa.
En: When Milica finally brought the plate, there was a very small portion of meat on it.

Sr: "Šta je ovo, Milice?
En: "What is this, Milica?"

Sr: " iznenađeno će Jovan.
En: Jovan said in surprise.

Sr: "Ovo neće biti dosta ni za mačku!
En: "This won't even be enough for a cat!"

Sr: "Milica se zbunila.
En: Milica was confused.

Sr: "Oprosti, Jovane, gužva je, sigurno je došlo do zabune.
En: "I'm sorry, Jovan, it's crowded, there must have been a mix-up."

Sr: "Jovan je duboko uzdahnuo, ali nije hteo da se ljuti na Milicu koju je svi u selu voleli.
En: Jovan sighed deeply, but he didn't want to get angry with Milica whom everyone in the village loved.

Sr: Međutim, trebao mu je obrok dostojan njegovog apetita.
En: However, he needed a meal worthy of his appetite.

Sr: "Izvoli, Draganu, reci ekipi u kuhinji da sam tražio veliku platu!
En: "Here, Dragan, tell the kitchen staff that I asked for a large portion!"

Sr: " rekao je Jovan, okrećući se prema šanku gde je Dragan sipao rakiju čestim gostima.
En: Jovan said, turning towards the bar where Dragan was serving brandy to the frequent guests.

Sr: Dragan se nasmejao.
En: Dragan laughed.

Sr: "Nemoj da brineš, Jovane!
En: "Don't worry, Jovan!

Sr: Biće to sređeno za tren!
En: It will be sorted out in no time!"

Sr: "Nekoliko minuta kasnije, usledio je pravi spektakl.
En: A few minutes later, a real spectacle followed.

Sr: Dragan je lično doneo ogromnu platu mesa, sa roštilja još uvek su se dizali dim i mirisi.
En: Dragan personally brought a huge plate of meat, with smoke and aromas still rising from the grill.

Sr: Kafana je utihnula dok je svima vilica padala od iznenađenja.
En: The tavern fell silent as everyone's jaws dropped in surprise.

Sr: "Evo ti, Jovane!
En: "Here you go, Jovan!

Sr: Ovo je plata za pravog muškarca!
En: This is a meal for a real man!"

Sr: " uzviknuo je Dragan svečano.
En: Dragan exclaimed ceremoniously.

Sr: Jovan se srdačno zahvalio i zagrizao s uzdahom zadovoljstva.
En: Jovan thanked him warmly and took a bite with a sigh of satisfaction.

Sr: Kafana se ponovo napunila smehom i razgovorima dok je Jovan uživao u svakom zalogaju.
En: The tavern was filled again with laughter and conversation as Jovan enjoyed every bite.

Sr: Na kraju, Jovan se od srca nasmijao sam sebi razmišljajući kako je za jedan mali nesporazum dobio gozbu kakvu skoro nikada nije.
En: In the end, Jovan laughed heartily at himself, thinking about how he had received a feast unlike any other for a small misunderstanding.

Sr: I tako, u kafani "Kod tri šešira", mali problem se završio sa velikim veseljem i još većim tanjirom mesa.
En: And so, at the tavern "At the Three Hats," a small problem ended with great joy and an even bigger plate of meat.

Sr: Jovan, Milica i Dragan su se još dugo sećali ovog dana uz šale i dobra sećanja.
En: Jovan, Milica, and Dragan fondly remembered this day for a long time with jokes and good memories.
