One of the reasons I love the book of Revelation is because it's just absolutely crazy. But the craziness has a purpose to it! Case and point: Jesus shows up in our passage today, but He shows up in a way that is WILDLY different than what we're used to seeing. Most of us, when we think of Jesus, think of that painting in your church where He's holding a little lamb or snuggling a child. We RARELY think of Jesus with eyes on fire, hair white as wool, and a sword coming out of His mouth. Yet this is what we see in our passage today.
