Ga: Lá breá gréine a bhí ann i gCúige Mumhan, sa tír draíochta is áille dá bhfuil ann, Éire.
En: It was a beautiful sunny day in the province of Munster, in the magical and stunning land of Ireland.

Ga: Bhí Aoife, cailín bríomhar le gruaig óir lonrach, ar a turas go Cloch na Blarnan le triúr dá cairde, Cillian agus Seamus.
En: Aoife, a lively girl with shiny golden hair, was on her way to Cloch na Blarnan with her three friends, Cillian and Seamus.

Ga: Bhí siad go léir ar bís le héacht mhór na háite a fháil - póg a thabhairt don chloch mhór cáiliúil agus gnaoi na cainte a bhailiú mar thoradh.
En: They were all excited to experience the great magic of the place - to kiss the famous big stone and gather the essence of the language as a result.

Ga: Bhí gáire mór ag Cillian nuair a thuig sé a tharla.
En: Cillian laughed a lot when he realized what had happened.

Ga: "Ó, Aoife, is tú atá tar éis an draoi cainte a phógáil anois!
En: "Oh, Aoife, you've kissed the speaking wizard now!"

En: Seamus, laughing with a heavy heart, said to Aoife, "That's not the magic stone, but my two cheeks!

En: The next day, the three famous friends set off for Blarnan again, this time to make sure Aoife would get her proper kiss.
