Lv: Vienā spožā dienas sākumā, kad saule vēl tikko bija uzkāpusi virs māju jumtiem, Aivars devās uz Rīgas Centrāltirgu.
En: On a bright morning, when the sun had just risen above the rooftops, Aivars went to the Riga Central Market.

Lv: Gaiss bija piepildīts ar rosību un tirgus elpu – sveži augļi, dārzeņi un siltas maizes smarža saviļņoja ikvienu garāmgājēju.
En: The air was filled with hustle and bustle, and the market breathed in the fresh scent of fruits, vegetables, and warm bread, exciting every passerby.

Lv: Aivars nebija šeit vienkārši tāpat.

Lv: Viņam bija misija – nopirkt svaigāko rudzu maizi un pārsteigumu savai draudzenei Lienei, kura mīlēja saldumus veikalu plauktos tikpat kā pasakas.
