Story Transcript:

He: ביום שלישי חם בשוק הכרמל בתל אביב, השמש זרחה חזק על הדוכנים, והאויר היה מלא בריח של פירות טריים, ירקות, ותבלינים.
En: On a hot Tuesday at the Carmel Market in Tel Aviv, the sun shone brightly on the stalls, and the air was filled with the scent of fresh fruits, vegetables, and spices.

He: אנשים מיהרו בין הדוכנים, כל אחד מחפש את המצרך המושלם.
En: People hurried between the stalls, each one looking for the perfect item.

He: בדיוק ליד דוכן הפירות, נועם חיפש תפוזים טריים.
En: Right by the fruit stall, Noam was searching for fresh oranges.

He: הוא הביט למעלה וראה את רותי עם סל מלא בתותים.
En: He looked up and saw Ruti with a basket full of strawberries.

He: "רותי!" קרא בהתלהבות.
En: "Ruti!" he called out excitedly.

He: היא הסתובבה ורצתה לחבק אותו.
En: She turned around and wanted to hug him.

He: "נועם! כמה זמן לא נפגשנו!"
En: "Noam! It's been so long since we met!"

He: באותו הרגע, יאיר בדיוק הגיע לדוכן המלפפונים ליד.
En: At that moment, Yair arrived at the cucumber stall nearby.

He: "נועם! רותי! איזה הפתעה נעימה!"
En: "Noam! Ruti! What a pleasant surprise!"

He: הם צחקו והתחבקו.
En: They laughed and hugged.

He: "איזה צירוף מקרים", אמרה רותי, "אנחנו חייבים להתעדכן!"
En: "What a coincidence," said Ruti, "we need to catch up!"

He: השניים החליטו ללכת לבית קפה קטן ליד השוק.
En: The three decided to go to a small café near the market.

He: הם מצאו שולחן חיצוני, חמישה עשר מטרים מהשוק.
En: They found an outdoor table, fifteen meters from the market.

He: הם הזמינו קפה ועוגה.
En: They ordered coffee and cake.

He: נועם סיפר על העבודה החדשה שלו במשרד קטן בדרום העיר, רותי שיתפה על הנסיעה האחרונה שלה לגליל, ויאיר סיפר על הקורס שלקח בקיץ.
En: Noam talked about his new job at a small office in the south of the city, Ruti shared about her recent trip to the Galilee, and Yair spoke about the course he took over the summer.

He: הרבה זמן עבר מאז שהם ישבו כולם יחד.
En: It had been a long time since they all sat together.

He: השיחה קלחה, הם צחקו, חלקו זכרונות ישנים וסיפרו על תכניות עתיד. שלהם.
En: The conversation flowed, they laughed, shared old memories, and talked about their future plans.

En: As the sun began to set, they realized they had been together for hours.

En: They took the last bite of the cake and paid the server.
