Zh: 曾经，在北京的一条熙攘半晌的道路旁，有一个叫泰味馆的小餐馆。它的客人之中，有三位特别的朋友：张伟，李颖，和王林。他们都是普通话学习者，有着一颗热切的心，希望能在这座城市的每一角留下他们独特的印记。
En: Once, beside a bustling road in Beijing, there was a small restaurant called Taiwei Court. Among its customers were three special friends: Zhang Wei, Li Ying, and Wang Lin. They were all Mandarin learners with eager hearts, hoping to leave their unique mark in every corner of the city.

Zh: 张伟，有着一头乌黑的发和明亮的眼睛。他大方得体而不失幽默，常常利用他那新学的普通话逗人开心。李颖，长发飘飘，有着一双聪明的眼睛，常常能洞察事物的本质。而王林，坚实如石，他的目光像锐利的刀，犀利且目光炯炯，时刻将普通话提高到一个新的高度。
En: Zhang Wei had jet-black hair and bright eyes. He was generous and humorous, often using his newly learned Mandarin to bring joy to others. Li Ying, with long flowing hair and intelligent eyes, had a keen insight into the essence of things. And Wang Lin, solid as a rock, with sharp, piercing eyes, always pushing Mandarin to new heights.

Zh: 一天，三人决定去泰味馆吃饭，以此展现他们的普通话技能。张伟笑着说："看我今天点菜，一定让你们大开眼界！"于是，他开始了演讲般的菜单阅读。
En: One day, the three friends decided to have a meal at Taiwei Court to showcase their Mandarin skills. Zhang Wei said with a smile, "Watch me order today, I'll definitely impress you all!" And so, he began a speech-like reading of the menu.

Zh: “咱们来点儿鳄鱼肉泡馍，还有河豚肉土豆粉……”他的语调高低起伏，吸引了所有人的注意。
En: "Let's have some crocodile meat bread with fish maw, and blowfish meat with potato noodles..." His tone rose and fell, capturing everyone's attention.

Zh: 然后，他开始想点一个他们最喜欢的菜—辣子鸡。他想着他们是怎么喜欢那个鸡翅的香味，那个酥脆的口感。“来一份辣子鸡胗吧。”他自信满满地说。
En: Then, he decided to order their favorite dish - spicy chicken. He thought about how much they loved the fragrance of the chicken wings and its crispy texture. "Let's have some spicy chicken gizzards." He confidently said.

Zh: 等待食物上来的那段时间，张伟被朋友们夸赞得满面红光，感到自己今天的普通话确实进步了不少。然而，当服务员端上一盘亮晶晶的鸡胗时，所有人都愣住了。原来，张伟误将鸡翅读成了鸡胗......
En: As they waited for the food to arrive, Zhang Wei blushed with pride as his friends praised him and felt that his Mandarin had indeed improved a lot that day. However, when the waiter brought a plate of shiny chicken gizzards, everyone was stunned. It turned out that Zhang Wei had read chicken wings as chicken gizzards mistakenly...
