Ko: 서울, 명동 거리. 케이블 TV 앞에서 팔짱을 끼고 선지혜는 작은 텔레비전 화면에 물결치는 의문을 띄웠다. 왜 화면에 있는 여자가 김치를 반죽하고 있을까? 그러나 그녀는 대답을 기다리지 않았다. 그녀의 시댁 식구들이 명동에서의 도시 실태를 체험하러 왔었기 때문이다. 그리고 그 중 누구보다도 그녀는 시어머니를 만족시키기 위한 치밀한 방법을 찾고있었다.
En: Seoul, Myeongdong street. Standing with arms crossed in front of the cable TV, Sunji-hye pondered the wavering questions on the small television screen. Why is the woman on the screen kneading kimchi? However, she did not wait for an answer. Her in-laws had come to experience the urban life in Myeongdong. And more than anyone else, she was searching for cunning ways to please her mother-in-law.

Ko: "정말 이 식당 에서 '서울의 최고 김치'가 나오는 거야?" 민준, 그녀의 남편 은 믿기지 않는다는 표정으로 말했다.
