Story Transcript:

Ja: ある暗く、普通の東京の夜。ほとんどの人々は日常の束縛から逃れるために、自宅でリラックスしていました。ところがこの町には、他人とは少し違っているといわれていた一人の女性、Aikoがいました。
En: On a dark, ordinary night in Tokyo, most people were relaxing at home to escape the constraints of their daily lives. However, in this town, there was a woman named Aiko who was said to be a little different from others.

Ja: Aikoは、彼女の親友Makoが開催するカラオケの夜に行く準備をしていました。それは普段と変わらない週末の一部でしたが、週末のカジュアルな夜とは思えないほどに、Aikoは丁寧に綺麗な着物を体に纏っていました。
En: Aiko was getting ready for a karaoke night hosted by her best friend Mako. It was just another weekend for them, but Aiko was wearing a beautiful kimono, unlike the casual nights of the weekend.

En: The kimono was wonderfully embroidered with cherry blossom petals, and when Aiko wore it, she appeared to be adorned with ancient beauty that seemed out of place in modern Tokyo. As she left the room, her mother exclaimed in surprise, "Aiko, why are you dressed so formally for such a casual night?" Aiko simply replied with a quiet smile, "Because we should always be true to ourselves."
