Story Transcript:

He: כאברהם מלמד שחשיפת פניו לבוקר המואר בתל אביב משאירה בו רושם של שמחה, הוא מתיישב על אופניו השחורות, הדגם הישן שהכירה הכבישים הסלעניים של העיר יותר מכל אחר. היום, אבל, משהו התחלש.
En: As Abraham teaches, exposing his face to the illuminated morning in Tel Aviv leaves him with a sense of joy. He sits on his black bicycle, an old model that the rocky streets of the city know better than any other. But today, something weakened.

He: הים לא נראה כה מוזהב כשהוא מתקרב, האוויר הולך ומתעצבן, כאילו הוא מתאהב מחדש. אברהם קורא לעצמו "אני מאחר", מתיין לפן זמנו מאחר ונשמע כאילו הים הוא זה שנהפך לדינוזואר, נותר הזמן האמיתי שאברהם הקיף.
En: The sea doesn't appear as golden as it approaches, the air becomes annoyed, as if falling in love again. Abraham calls himself "late", blaming his timing since it seems as though the sea has turned into a dinosaur, leaving only the real time that Abraham grasps.

He: אך הצווארון הפתאום מצטמצם, האורחים מייבשים, הגלגל האחורי משתקע במשהו שמרגיש בלתי צפוי. במשאלה הראשונה של אברהם, הוא מקווה שזו סתם תחנה, רגע של נוחות בחיים שהמשיך למעלה והרחק.
En: But suddenly, the handlebar tightens, the guests dry up, the rear wheel gets stuck in something unexpected. In Abraham's first thought, he hopes it's just a stop, a moment of comfort in a life that continues on and away.

He: לסירוגין החפוזים, אברהם מתחיל לשאוב תנודות חדות, כאילו הוא נותר לו כדי להתקנן במקום שבו רק הים יכול לעזור. נכנע למרכז העיר, ההמונים מתחילים לעבור, קוראים לו "אני מאחר", אך כל מה שהוא מרגיש הן הדפיקות בלבו.
En: For the hurried passerby, Abraham begins to inhale sharp jolts, as if it is left for him to settle in a place where only the sea can help. He surrenders to the city center, the crowds start passing, calling him "late", but all he feels are palpitations in his heart.

He: אין לו ברירה אלא לחפש נתיב חדש, מִהכָּאוֹת הרחוב אל העיר הלבנה המוארת. מעלה ויורד, הוא מתנגש ברחובות העיר הנטושים, הופך לאברהם המבהיל, הגאון שמחפש תשובות על ידי תנודות כבדות.
En: He has no choice but to seek a new path, from the dark streets to the illuminated white city. Up and down, he collides with the deserted streets of the city, becoming Abraham the dazzling, the genius seeking answers through heavy swaying.

En: But on the way back, what seems to him like a beautiful victory over the wind, turns out to be a crowd of people waiting for him. They see Abraham, the late one, and feel his great worry.

He: בסוף, אברהם, המנשה במכות לוחם, מגיע למקום עם ראש מלך. מתחיל להיות ברור שעל פי הנורמות של העיר, אברהם נתקע לא בגלל פקק תנועה, אלא בגלל שהים הוא המעגל הצמוד ביותר לו - המעגל ההוא שלא הוליד מעולם מפגש מאוחר.
En: In the end, Abraham, the bruised fighter, arrives at a place with a king's head. It becomes clear that according to the norms of the city, Abraham is stuck not because of traffic congestion, but because the sea is the closest circle to him - that circle that has never given birth to a late encounter.
