Story Transcript:

He: אברהם, תושב מבצעי שבתל אביב, אהב את התחושה שקיבל כאשר הצליח להתמקח על מחיר נמוך יותר בשוק המקומי.
En: Avraham, a resident of Batayin neighborhood in Tel Aviv, loved the feeling he got when he successfully haggled for a lower price in the local market.

He: זו הייתה האתגר, הסבלנות, המשא ומתן, המסחר לרגע.
En: It was the challenge, the patience, the negotiation, the trade for a moment.

He: הנה הסיפור של אחת החוויות המוזרות שלו.
En: Here is the story of one of his strange experiences.

He: על אף החום שהחדיר דרך המאוורות, אברהם התמד לחפש את הדיל המושלם בשוק המקומי של תל אביב, שוק הכרמל.
En: Despite the heat that pierced through the shades, Avraham persisted in searching for the perfect deal in Tel Aviv's local market, the Carmel Market.

En: Avraham laid his hand on a large box of dates that looked quite sweet.

En: He asked the vendor for the price - thirty shekels.

He: אברהם התחיל להתמקח, מציע עשרים ש"ח.
En: Avraham began to haggle, offering twenty shekels.

He: הסוכן ניחן מנגינות שוק שנות הניסיון לימדו אותו, ובסופו של דבר איתרו לדעת שאברהם משלם ארבעים ש"ח.
En: The vendor, skilled in the market tunes that years of experience had taught him, ultimately agreed to forty shekels in exchange.

He: בלב גצנן בלי רחמים, אברהם הרגיש שהוא השתלב שוב במסאג' המסחרי שהוא השוק המקומי.
En: With a ruthless heart, Avraham felt that he had once again immersed himself in the commercial masquerade that is the local market.
