Story Transcript:

Sv: Lars stod mitt i IKEA butiken.
En: Lars stood in the middle of the IKEA store.

Sv: Runt omkring honom var det fullt med folk.
En: All around him, there were crowds of people.

Sv: Vissa skrek på sina barn, andra diskuterade högt om vilket köp som var det bästa.
En: Some were shouting for their kids, while others were loudly debating on which purchase was the best.

Sv: Lars var där för att köpa en ny bokhylla.
En: Lars was there to buy a new bookshelf.

Sv: Han hade just blivit klar med att renovera sitt hem och den sista saken som saknades var just en bokhylla för alla hans böcker.
En: He had just finished renovating his home and the last thing missing was a bookshelf for all his books.

Sv: Han valde en stor bokhylla vid namn "Billy".
En: He chose a big bookshelf named "Billy".

En: It was simple, stylish, and had space for all his books.

En: He opened the box and took out all the parts.

Sv: Det fanns många träbitar, skruvar, spikar och andra delar.
En: There were many pieces of wood, screws, nails, and other parts.

Sv: Längst ner i lådan var instruktionen.
En: At the bottom of the box was the instruction manual.

Sv: Men Lars var en man som inte trodde på instruktioner.
En: But Lars was a man who didn't believe in instructions.

Sv: Han tyckte att instruktionerna var förvirrade och tunga.
En: He thought the instructions were confusing and cumbersome.

Sv: I stället föredrog han att förlita sig på egen erfarenhet och intuition.
En: Instead, he preferred to rely on his own experience and intuition.

En: So he began.

Sv: Träbitar lades ut på golvet.
En: Wood pieces were laid out on the floor.
