Story Transcript:

Ga: Ar maidin fresin aer úr an Fhómhair, bhí Aoife ag siúl tríd an bPáirc Forsyth i Savannah.
En: This morning, with the fresh air of autumn, Aoife was walking through Forsyth Park in Savannah.

Ga: Bhí a croí ag preabadh lena bhród agus lena néaróga.
En: Her heart was pounding with pride and nerves.

Ga: Chuir a seanmháthair tasc an-tábhachtach uirthi roimh a bás.
En: Her grandmother had given her a very important task before she died.

Ga: Bhí litir i bhfolach sa pháirc, faoi chrann speisialta.
En: There was a letter hidden in the park, beneath a special tree.

Ga: Ní raibh a fhios aici cén áit go díreach, ach bhí sí meáite é a aimsiú.
En: She didn’t know exactly where, but she was determined to find it.

Ga: Nuair a shroich Aoife an pháirc, bhuail sí le Cian, péintéir áitiúil.
En: When Aoife reached the park, she met Cian, a local painter.

Ga: Bhí súile gorma grinn aige, agus bhí sé fiosrach faoin eachtra ar Aoife.
En: He had sharp blue eyes and was curious about Aoife's adventure.

Ga: "Cad é atá á lorg agat?" a d’fhiafraigh sé go séimh, ag cur aoibh neamhdhíobhálach uirthi.
En: "What are you looking for?" he asked gently, offering her a harmless smile.

Ga: "Crann speisialta," d'fhreagair sí go gearr, mothú an-strus uirthi.
En: "A special tree," she answered shortly, feeling quite stressed.

Ga: Bhí an pháirc mór.
En: The park was large.

Ga: Radharcanna áille an fómhair gach áit—crainn móra ag caitheamh duilleoga órga agus ómra i ngach treo.
En: Beautiful autumn scenes were everywhere—big trees shedding golden and amber leaves in all directions.

Ga: Bhreathnaigh Sián ar an gceiliúradh dathanna ar an gcanbhás nádúrtha agus dúirt, "Is cumhach ceol na gcrann."
En: Cian gazed at the colorful celebration on the natural canvas and said, "The music of the trees is nostalgic."

Ga: Shíl Aoife go raibh sé ait, ach bhí sé cairdiúil, agus bhí gá aici le cabhair.
En: Aoife thought he was peculiar, but he was friendly, and she needed help.

Ga: Chuir Cian comhartha ar cheann de na láithreacha ar an gcárta a bhí ag Aoife.
En: Cian pointed to one of the locations on the map Aoife had.

Ga: "Tá sé seo cosúil le cur síos do sheanmháthar," ar sé.
En: "This looks like your grandmother's description," he said.

Ga: Thuras siad le chéile tríd an bpríomhchosán, go dtí go raibh na crainn ag dul i líon.
En: They traveled together along the main path, until the trees grew dense.

Ga: Scéalta Cian faoina dhealbhanna agus a ghrá don ealaín ag siúl leo mar scáth.
En: Cian's stories of his sculptures and his love for art followed them like a shadow.

Ga: Bhí moill ann mar gheall ar iontas Aoife faoi chomh cineálta agus ealaíonta a bhí Cian, ach lorg siad i bhfad ar fud na páirce.
En: There was a delay due to Aoife’s amazement at how kind and artistic Cian was, but they searched extensively throughout the park.

Ga: Bhí am ag sleamhnú, d'fhéadfadh Aoife an scáileán ama a mhothú.
En: Time was slipping away, and Aoife could feel the pressure of the clock.

Ga: I ndeireadh na dála, sheas siad os comhair darach ollmhór, cosúil le caomhnóir an rúin.
En: Eventually, they stood in front of a massive oak tree, like a guardian of the secret.

Ga: Feistigh Aoife a lámh trasna an chrainn, agus braith sí a ciorcal beag snoite, chomh cur síos agus bhí sé sa litir ainnise a fuair sí ón a seanmháthair.
En: Aoife placed her hand across the tree and felt a small carved circle, just as described in the distress letter she received from her grandmother.

Ga: Le croí ag bualadh, bhog sí píosa beaga coirt agus bhí litir faoin áit a bhí folaithe le fada.
En: With her heart racing, she moved a small piece of bark and found the letter that had been hidden there for so long.

Ga: Bhí an litir ag insint seanchas a clainne, scéalta a bhí le seanmaidh agus a thaisceadh ag aoibhneas.
En: The letter told her family's history, stories meant to be remembered and cherished with joy.

Ga: D'fhéach Cian go cúramach agus thóg peann luaidhe agus páipéar amach chun an radharc a sceitseáil.
En: Cian watched carefully and took out a pencil and paper to sketch the scene.

Ga: "Nílim chun dearmad a dhéanamh ar an lá seo go deo," dúirt sé, an inspioráid ag lonradh ina shúile.
En: "I’ll never forget this day," he said, inspiration shining in his eyes.

Ga: Ag imeacht ó Pháirc Forsyth ar an oíche, d'fhoghlaim Aoife nach bhfuil muid ach ag iompar seandálaí an am atá thart, ach go bhfuil muid ina shíolrún d'ár dtodhchaí féin.
En: As they left Forsyth Park that evening, Aoife learned that we are not only carriers of our past’s archaeology but also seeds of our own future.

Ga: Féach Cian chuaigh leis i dteannta ealaíne úr faoi thírdhreach savánaigh.
En: She saw that Cian joined her in a new creative journey amid the Savannah landscape.

Ga: Bhí an fómhar ag canadh moladh an t-amhrán ag aoibh gháire ar an gceann nua seo.
En: Autumn was singing praise, smiling on this new chapter.

Ga: Taobh leataobh, bhí na seanchas agus saoirse nua ann.
En: Side by side, there were the old tales and newfound freedom.
