Pl: Był zwykły, słoneczny dzień w Warszawie.
En: It was a usual, sunny day in Warsaw.

Pl: Anna, Piotr i Katarzyna, trzej przyjaciele z dzieciństwa, spacerowali wzdłuż bulwarów wiślanych.
En: Anna, Piotr, and Katarzyna, three childhood friends, were strolling along the Vistula boulevards.

Pl: Na ich drodze stanął obcokrajowiec, wyraźnie zdezorientowany i zaniepokojony.
En: In their path stood a foreigner, clearly disoriented and concerned.

Pl: Wyglądał na Amerykanina i trzymał w ręku kartkę, na której były napisane różne polskie wyrazy.
En: He looked like an American and was holding a paper with various Polish words written on it.

Pl: "Powiedzcie mi, dlaczego w tych wszystkich słowach są te dziwne znaki?
En: "Tell me, why are there these strange symbols in all these words?"

Pl: " zapytał, pokazując im kartkę.
En: he asked, showing them the paper.

Pl: Anna, Piotr i Katarzyna spojrzeli na siebie, zaskoczeni pytaniem.
En: Anna, Piotr, and Katarzyna looked at each other, surprised by the question.

Pl: Wiedzieli zarówno o złożoności polskiego języka, jak i o jego trudnoścach dla osób z zagranicy.
En: They were aware of both the complexity of the Polish language and its challenges for foreigners.

Pl: Piotr, jako pierwszy, podjął się wyjaśnienia.
