Natalie is joined by Mireya Lopez, host of Mothering Anxiety. The two women are going to get real about their musings of the movie Encanto and how it forced them to confront their generational trauma. Each character of Encanto represented a different behavior they exhibited, an identity projected onto them, or a strong emotion they still carry. The result is a beautiful conversation of how generational trauma affects people into their adulthood and how we choose to heal from it. They get real about the past and the behaviors they have exhibited in relationships as a direct result of their generational trauma. Natalie left this conversation about her family and how hurt can run deep and through time thinking maybe it is time to reflect on forgiveness and what it means to be hurt by things that happened decades before she was born.
