Story Transcript:
En: At the edge of Tivoli Park, which was turning into a true winter fairy tale, Maja carefully watched the snowflakes dancing in the air.
Sl: V snežnem metežu je tlela njena želja – zgraditi največjega snežaka, kar jih je kdaj videl park.
En: In the snowstorm, her desire was burning – to build the biggest snowman the park had ever seen.
Sl: Luka in Ana, njena prijatelja, sta se tresla v svojih toplih bundah, vendar sta sledila Maji z radovednostjo in kančkom dvoma.
En: Luka and Ana, her friends, shivered in their warm jackets, but followed Maja with curiosity and a hint of doubt.
Sl: "Poglej, koliko snega!
En: "Look at all this snow!"
Sl: " je zavpila Maja s sijočimi očmi.
En: shouted Maja with shining eyes.
Sl: "Naredili bomo veličastnega snežaka!
En: "We will make a magnificent snowman!"
Sl: ""Resno?
En: "Seriously?
Sl: V tem vremenu?
En: In this weather?"
Sl: " se je zasmejal Luka in potegnil kapo globlje čez ušesa.
En: laughed Luka, pulling his cap further over his ears.
Sl: "Kdo pa bo potem pil vročo čokolado?
En: "Who will have the hot chocolate then?"
En: smiled Ana, clearly more interested in the reward than the project.
Sl: Maja ni popuščala.
En: Maja was not giving up.
Sl: Začela je valiti prvo veliko snežno kepo.
En: She began rolling the first large snowball.
En: The snow was wet and heavy, perfect for shaping, but also challenging to work with in these weather conditions.
En: Her friends soon joined, not noticing how they began to enjoy themselves despite the cold.
Sl: Medtem ko je snežak rasel, je veter pihal vedno močneje, ogrožal je njegovo stabilnost.
En: As the snowman grew, the wind blew increasingly harder, threatening its stability.
Sl: "Potrebuje nekaj podpore," je predlagala Maja s stisnjenimi ustnicami, medtem ko je pogledovala proti vrhu snežaka.
En: "It needs some support," suggested Maja with pursed lips, as she looked toward the top of the snowman.
En: Luka thought of the sports field and remembered the tree branches, frozen and hanging along the paths.
Sl: "Veje!
En: Let's support it with branches," he said, and they hurried to gather all that could help.
En: As the snowman rose higher, the breeze became unbearable.
En: The snow monster, as they called it, began to sway dangerously.
Sl: Maja, Luka in Ana so zapahnili veje in sekunde so se zdele kot večnost.
En: Maja, Luka, and Ana fastened the branches, and seconds seemed to last forever.
Sl: Nato se je veter končno umiril.
En: Then the wind finally calmed.
Sl: Snežak je stal ponosno, veličastno.
En: The snowman stood proudly, magnificently.
Sl: "Uspelo je!
En: "We did it!"
Sl: " je vzkliknila Ana, ko so trije prijatelji popadli v snežni objem zadovoljstva.
En: exclaimed Ana, as the three friends fell into a snowy embrace of satisfaction.
Sl: Sledil je smeh, kepanje in tekanje po zasneženih poteh parka.
En: This was followed by laughter, snowball fights, and running along the snowy paths of the park.
Sl: Ko so končali z zimsko bitko, je Maja spoznala nekaj pomembnega.
En: When they finished their winter battle, Maja realized something important.
En: Nothing was more precious than the joy brought by teamwork.
En: The snowman was big and magnificent, but what made it special was the friendship it had built.
Sl: Tivoli Park je ob koncu dneva blestel v miru, njegove poti obkrožene z večernim sijajem.
En: Tivoli Park at the end of the day shone in peace, its paths surrounded by an evening glow.
En: Maja, Luka, and Ana walked home, warmly convinced that winter is indeed a time of magical adventures.

Story Transcript:
En: Matej sat on a log by the path, gazing into the distance.
En: Everyone had stopped for lunch, the teacher had handed out sandwiches, but Matej had a different idea.
Sl: Njegov obraz je izražal nemir.
En: His face expressed unease.
En: He knew there was a hidden waterfall somewhere in the forest, one he had read about.
En: "If only I could," he thought, "if only I could go and see it."
En: Ana, who was sitting next to him, noticed Matej's thoughtful gaze.
Sl: "Kaj razmišljaš?" ga je vprašala.
En: "What are you thinking about?" she asked him.
En: Matej turned back to her and smiled.
Sl: "Nekje blizu je slap," je povedal, "želim ga videti!"
En: "There's a waterfall nearby," he said, "I want to see it!"
En: "Matej, we're supposed to stay on the path," Ana replied seriously.
Sl: Pravila parka so bila jasna, a Matejev nemiren duh že dolgo ni poslušal pravil.
En: The park's rules were clear, but Matej's restless spirit hadn't listened to rules for a long time.
Sl: Med kosilom je Matej sklenil.
En: During lunch, Matej made up his mind.
En: He looked around, then began to quietly slip away.
Sl: Ana je to opazila.
En: Ana noticed this.
Sl: "Se res odpravljaš?" je vprašala tiho.
En: "Are you really going?" she asked softly.
Sl: Matej prikimal in pomignil z glavo proti gozdu.
En: Matej nodded and gestured with his head towards the forest.
Sl: Ana ni mogla verjeti, a nekaj v njej je kliknilo.
En: Ana couldn't believe it, but something inside her clicked.
En: "I'll come with you," she said, "but only to convince you to come back."
Sl: Zasnežena tla so škripala pod njunimi škornji.
En: The snowy ground crunched under their boots.
En: The path became increasingly narrow, and the forest around them denser.
Sl: Jasno nebo se je začelo spreminjati.
En: The clear sky began to change.
En: The sky was becoming cloudy, and snow began to fall quickly.
Sl: V počasnejšem koraku sta oba začutila, da sta zašla.
En: In their slower pace, both felt that they had strayed.
En: "Matej," Ana said worriedly, "we shouldn't be here. Let's go back while it's still light."
Sl: Matejov uporni pogled je popustil.
En: Matej's rebellious look subsided.
Sl: Prestrašil se je ideje izgubljenosti in svojih odločitev.
En: He was frightened by the idea of being lost and his decisions.
Sl: Vihar je okrog njiju pihal snežinke.
En: The storm whirled snowflakes around them.
En: Now was no longer the time for experimenting.
Sl: "Vredu," je priznal Matej, "vrniva se."
En: "Alright," Matej admitted, "let's go back."
En: Ana calmly followed the same last steps, trying to remember every turn they had made.
En: The path was difficult and the snow covered the tracks, but they trusted each other.
En: When they finally saw the group of students and the teacher, who were already ready to leave, they both sighed deeply.
En: Matej and Ana awkwardly smiled at the teacher, who was visibly worried but relieved that they were safely back.
En: "I'm so glad you're both okay," the teacher said.
En: Matej bowed his head, realizing that sometimes rules are there for a reason.
En: Ana maintained her usual smile, but with a hint of courage inside her, knowing that when necessary, she could take the lead.
En: Trikraljev National Park was beautiful even on a winter day, but they both knew how dangerous it could be if they didn't act as a team.
En: Matej learned to appreciate rules, and Ana learned to trust her decision-making power.
En: Everything ended well; some waterfalls are indeed best left in books and stories.

Sl: Sneg je nežno prekril pokrajino okoli Male vasi.
En: The snow gently blanketed the landscape around Mala vas.
En: Winter was in full swing, and the villagers gathered for a communal event.
En: They were chopping wood to prepare for the long, cold months ahead.
En: The sound of axes cutting through wood echoed among the trees, and puffs of breath floated in the cold air.
Sl: Med njimi je bil Matej, tih in zaprt kmet.
En: Among them was Matej, a quiet and reserved farmer.
En: He stood somewhat apart from the group, working with concentration and without many words.
En: Matej did not particularly enjoy such gatherings, but his duty to the community brought him among the people.
En: All he wanted was to finish the work quickly and return to the peace of his farm.
En: Meanwhile, Anja, his neighbor, was lively and bouncing among the people.
Sl: Vedno pripravljena pomagati, vedno z nasmehom in toplino.
En: Always ready to help, always with a smile and warmth.
Sl: Anja je verjela v moč skupnosti, v smislu pripadnosti.
En: Anja believed in the power of community, in the sense of belonging.
En: She wanted Matej to feel this connection too.
En: She had carefully planned a surprise—once the work was done, she would organize a small celebration by the bonfire.
Sl: "Daj, Matej," ga je sunila v rebra, ko je nosila košaro s prigrizki, "pojdimo vsi skupaj okoli ognja, bo zabavno!
En: "Come on, Matej," she nudged him in the ribs as she carried a basket of snacks, "let's all go around the fire together, it will be fun!"
Sl: "Matej jo je pogledal, nekoliko v zadregi.
En: Matej looked at her, somewhat embarrassed.
Sl: "Ne vem, Anja.
En: "I don't know, Anja.
Sl: Moram še domov.
En: I still need to go home.
Sl: Dovolj imam še dela.
En: I have plenty of work left."
Sl: "Ampak Anja ni tako hitro odnehala.
En: But Anja didn't give up so easily.
Sl: "Samo en kratki večer.
En: "Just one short evening.
Sl: Poglej, sva skoraj končala.
En: Look, we're almost done.
Sl: Malo počitka bo prav prišlo.
En: A little rest will do you good."
Sl: "Delo je postopoma zaključeno.
En: The work gradually concluded.
En: The wood was neatly stacked, prepared for winter.
Sl: Anja je neumorno povabila vse okoli kresa.
En: Anja tirelessly invited everyone around the bonfire.
En: Always with a sparkle in her eyes, which couldn't be easily ignored.
En: Matej hesitated, but he saw how the villagers relaxed and laughed in the warmth of the fire.
Sl: Njihovo veselje in smeh so ga predramili.
En: Their joy and laughter stirred something within him.
En: It seemed to him that something important was happening, something he did not quite understand yet.
En: He put down his tools before cautiously stepping closer to the group, where Anja was already sharing homemade bread and cheese.
En: He sat on a bench next to her, and Anja greeted him with a big smile.
Sl: "Vidiš?
En: "See?
Sl: Ni tako slabo.
En: It's not so bad."
Sl: "Matej je rahlo pokimal, še vedno v svojih mislih.
En: Matej nodded slightly, still lost in his thoughts.
Sl: Toda počasi, medtem ko je poslušal zgodbe in delil nekaj laskavo okornimi komentarji, je v njem zrasel občutek topline.
En: But slowly, as he listened to the stories and shared some awkward but appreciative comments, a feeling of warmth grew within him.
En: That evening under the stars, as the snow gently fell to the ground, Matej realized that community was not just a duty.
En: It was something that fills you with strength, something that not even the coldest winters can overcome.
Sl: Anja je v njem zasvetila iskrica radovednosti do ljudi, do njihovih zgodb.
En: Anja had sparked a curiosity in him about people, about their stories.
En: Perhaps next time he would hesitate less, Matej thought.
Sl: Morda bo naslednjič še sam prinesel košaro.
En: Perhaps next time he would bring a basket himself.
En: After all, the warmth of the fire was not just in its flames, but in the people who stood around it.

Sl: " je rekel Jure z zaskrbljenim glasom.
En: Jure said with a worried voice.
Sl: "Kaj takega?
En: "What kind of thing?"
Sl: " je vprašala Nina in ga pogledala s toplimi očmi.
En: asked Nina, looking at him with warm eyes.
Sl: "Verjetno je le prehlad.
En: "It's probably just a cold.
Sl: Vsekakor pa moraš k zdravniku.
En: But you definitely should see a doctor."
Sl: "Jure je zmajal z glavo.
En: Jure shook his head.
En: He was cautious and often thought of the worst scenarios.
En: He feared hearing something serious from the doctor.
Sl: "Zdravniki včasih preveč strašijo," je rekel tiho.
En: "Doctors sometimes over-alarm," he said quietly.
En: "Whatever it is, it's better to know and treat it immediately than to suffer."
Sl: "Park je bil tih, zrak je bil hladen in svež.
En: The park was quiet; the air was cold and fresh.
Sl: Golci dreves so se bleščali pod zmrznjenimi vejami.
En: The bare trees glittered under frozen branches.
Sl: Jure je ljubil ta park, še posebej pozimi.
En: Jure loved this park, especially in winter.

En: "Nina, I really don't know," Jure started again, but Nina had already taken his hand.
Sl: "Grem s tabo," je rekla odločno.
En: "I'll go with you," she said decisively.
Sl: "Ne boš sam.
En: "You won't be alone."
Sl: "Jure je vedel, kako dobra prijateljica je Nina.
En: Jure knew what a good friend Nina was.
En: Her presence offered him the confidence he couldn't find within himself.
Sl: Sprejel je odločitev.
En: He made a decision.
Sl: Naredil bo prvi korak.
En: He would take the first step.
En: A few days later, Jure and Nina returned from the park, but this time from a different direction.
Sl: Sta namreč šla k zdravniku.
En: They had just been to the doctor.
Sl: Jure je bil živčen, vendar s trdno odločenostjo.
En: Jure was nervous yet steadfast in his determination.
Sl: "Vse je v redu," je rekel Jure, ko sta končno zapustila ordinacijo.
En: "Everything's fine," Jure said as they finally left the office.
En: "He said it's just a mild cold."
Sl: "Nina se je nasmehnila.
En: Nina smiled.
Sl: "Kaj sem ti rekla?
En: "What did I tell you?
Sl: Videl boš, vse bo bolje!
En: You'll see, everything will get better!"
En: As they walked through the park, Jure felt an incredible relief.
Sl: Bil je hvaležen Nini za njeno vztrajnost in pomoč.
En: He was grateful to Nina for her persistence and support.
En: Now he knew he shouldn't let fear take over.
En: He realized how important it is to take care of one's health and rely on friends.
Sl: Zimski Tivoli park je bil še vedno čudovit in miren, a tokrat Jure ni gledal naokoli z obremenjenim srcem.
En: Winter Tivoli Park was still beautiful and peaceful, but this time Jure wasn't looking around with a heavy heart.
Sl: Bil je sproščen in poln novega upanja.
En: He was relaxed and full of new hope.
En: As he and Nina walked along the snowy paths, he felt warmth despite the cold winter wind.
Sl: "Naslednjič, ko pridem, bom s sabo pripeljal sani," je dejal Jure z nasmehom.
En: "Next time I come, I'll bring a sled," Jure said with a smile.
